History of JJA JANG

History of
JJA JANG MYEON

Jjajangmyeon, a beloved Korean dish, originated in the late 19th century when Chinese immigrants tried to adapt the traditional noodle dish to suit Korean tastes.
Chunjang (chunjang) made from thick black beans is stir-fried with finely chopped pork and vegetables and then served on top of noodles, which has developed into a Korean dish now known as Jjajangmyeon. Its rich flavor and satisfying texture have made it a staple comfort food for many people.

Jja jang myeon is poverty, adversity and challenge

Jjajangmyeon was originally a simple and popular dish, but most people were too poor to eat even that often. Immediately after the Korean War (1953), Korea was the poorest country in the world.
So even now,
When most adults eat Jjajangmyeon, they miss their parents who willingly bought the Jajangmyeon that their children loved so much.

Dear Mother

แม่บอก “แม่ไม่ชอบจาจังมยอน”

The children know that their mother saved money to overcome poverty, but they still wanted to eat delicious Jajangmyeon. My mom bought me Jajangmyeon. “Mom, it’s very delicious, let’s eat it together.” The mother answered, ‘My baby should eat a lot, Mom doesn’t like Jja jang myeon.’
'Dear Mother' by the band 'G.O.D' makes them miss their mother even more. The rich taste of Jajangmyeon still brings back fond memories.
